Ultra clear / Low Iron tempered glass is made up of clear tempered glass by reducing its green tint and iron content to achieve optimum clarity and vision.

Because of the natural iron oxide content in the glass paste, neutral float glass already has a slight green cast-an effect that is more evident when the glass is thick or frosted. Ultra clear glass is the term for float glass low in iron oxide that has no green cast.

The high level of transparency is more suitable for car windows and the interior of the house, for example, mirror, display cabinet, ceramic silkscreen glass, picture frame, glass furniture and tabletops.

The low iron content enables Super Clear Glass to possess better optical performance and higher visible light transmittance than ordinary clear glass greatly enhances solar heat transmittance.

Tempered safety glass has a much higher thermal shock resistance than float glass. Tempered safety glass can resist a thermal shock of as much as 150K, whereas float glass can only withstand thermal shock of 40K.

Tempered safety glass is considered safety glass, however, primarily due to the way it breaks. Because it is in state of internal tension, when it breaks it shatters suddenly into small fragments with blunt edges, which considerably reduce the risk of severe injury.
